Launched in April 2019, the Nike: On Air collection gave six contest entrants from around the world the opportunity to develop an Air Max shoe influenced by their hometowns. Joining forces with Nike designers, Cash Ru created the Air Max 97 'On Air: Shanghai Kaleidoscope' sneaker. Looking far away for inspiration, Ru's blue synthetic translucent upper is accented with multi-layered white heel tabs, emulating the floating clouds that sweep across the Shanghai sky.
