Acclaimed Japanese fashion label Sacai joined forces with Nike to create the Sacai x Blazer Mid 'Maize Navy' sneaker, released in May 2019. Inspired by hybridization, this sneaker combines two retro basketball silhouettes, the '72 Blazer and the '85 Dunk, to create a hybrid that is both uncommon and familiar. This leather sneaker was designed with twice as many tongues, laces, eye holders, and Swooshes as the typical Blazer Mid. The shoe's autoclaved rubber slides down the sides and is layered at the heel for added protection and style.
